Lots going on--trying to squeeze everything in. Not much quilty stuff going on other than adding hanging sleeves to show quilts and making labels for show items. I am up to my ears in paperwork for the show-related stuff I am responsible for. Am also trying to do work-related stuff and trying to book a little spring break activity for the kids and DH and I. Add in a dr.'s appt. and kids' homework and viola! Perfect fodder for not fun recurring dreams.
Here is my one good quilty tidbit for this post: Quilts for my guild's quilt shows have to be submitted in pillowcases. So, to keep my stuff "grouped" and easy to spot, I went to Bed, Bath and Beyond and found 6 bubblegum pink pillowcases on the clearance racks (and used a 20% off coupon, too!).

To make labels for the outside of the cases, I am ironing freezer paper to the pillowcases and using a Sharpie marker on it (I checked, it doesn't bleed through). Should make it easy to pick up my items after the show is done.
One last quilty thought. For the border of the wedding quilt, I chose a Robert Kaufmann fabric--it's part of their Marbleous! Jacquard line, color olive. The color and look of this fabric was *perfect* for the quilt.......but.......the fabric, despite being 100% cotton, was a pain to work with. It was stretchy and the weave made avoiding bias impossible. Sigh. I had wavy border pieces for the first time in eons. And finishing the binding was a pain in the tushie--waaaay too much stretch to get the binding to finish at the right size, so I was doing some creative easing to make it fit. It's a gorgeous fabric, but my advice to any who want to try it: starch, starch, starch! Maybe that would make that jacquard weave behave itself a little better.

I have recurring dreams when I am stressed...like at Christmas. Nearly every year I dream that it is Christmas morning and I have not bought anyone anything. Or the one where I walk into the living room naked and everyone in my family is there. I hate those dreams because they feel just so real!
Oh my goodness! I just stumbled across your blog and ready the entry today and was shocked! I have that same dream occasionally, but I never associated it with being overwhelmed. Please let us know if you find out what it means.
I still have those dreams! And it's been a loooonng time since I graduated.
FYI - our guild requires that quilts for the show be submitted in ziploc "big bags." I think that overall it's a good idea, and maybe something you can float to your guild for the coming years.
