SPRING!!!!

Phew! Work duties are mostly dispatched, have caught up on a lot of menial tasks that have just been dragging me down, and look at my reward!!! Spring has finally sprung in the midwest!
This little guy was hiding in my iris patch--found him as I was cleaning up old foliage from last season. My star magnolia in the front yard is gorgeous as always:
I hung three loads of clothes out on the clothesline this morning--I could say I was doing it to be "green" but truth be told, I was raised with a clothesline and I simply adore the clean, fresh smell that laundry (esp. sheets!) have when they come in off the line.

I have been very busy of late, haven't done too much sewing, but I did have a pretty big addition to my studio: Her name is Cracklin' Rosie (after the Neil Diamond song) and she has her own stretch machine frame to play on!

I am happy to get back to blogging and will be super happy to get back to actually doing some piecing.........and QUILTING!! as I start to learn how to use Rosie. Right now DH is hanging a ceiling fan for me in the kitchen in anticipation of warm summer days to come. We also put up a purple martin house in the back yard this morning. Right now everything just feels good and positive and I am feeling blessed.

Yea for Spring time too!

I got all of my plants that have been in the well house during the winter out and put them on the back porch. Will get them trimmed, repotted, etc in the next few days.

The bunny is so cute!

Good to have you back!
I transplanted my favorites - lilacs - yesterday - 5 new ones spread around my back yard. Only a few years to let them get bigger and then MMMMMM!!!

Yay! A quilting machine! You will have so much fun! Thanks for commenting on my blog. Your email is no reply, or I would have emailed you back. I don't do many garage sales, but love the thrift stores, and I donate all my 'junk' to GW or SA. I have been giving them a few boxes every week for the past few weeks. Feels good!...and I got rewarded for my sharing, by finding my Electrolux!

You must not be too far from me, if you are in Ill. I am in Iowa...near the edge of the state...Jackson county.

Take care, and have fun with 'Rosie'!

I'd finally gotten into my flower beds the other night. I love working in the dirt. Much more work to do... but soooo rewarding.
