I have been running between too many obligations--too much to do and not enough of me! My days are feeling like I am trying to push a pile of sand up some stairs--feels like I just can't make any progress on anything. It hasn't helped that I have had a terrible cough (for 3 weeks now) and chest congestion that turned really ugly earlier this week with actual chest pain--bad enough to wake me up at night. Turns out I have a nasty case of bronchitis that will hopefully resolve with the antibiotics I'm on.

One of my projects is, of course, the wedding quilt. I'm happy to report that the main part of the top is now in only two sections and next I have to press all the seams open. I need to contact my favorite long arm quilter Sue and cross my fingers that she'll be able to work on it in time for the quilt to make it into my guild show! I am pretty sure I know what my plan is for borders on this quilt--it's a matter of finding the right fabric, so we'll see what happens. The mobile design wall is actually down--the dining room is just a dining room again! DH is very happy.

Unfortunately that is all the quilty progress I've made this week. Tomorrow I need to go and pick up the next Block of the Month at Thimbles in Lockport. I did find some great tan background fabric for the BOM from The Quilt Show, but it is still sitting in the bag unwashed. I have been reading up a bit on applique techniques and will hopefully carve out some time to work on that project (once the wedding quilt is done) so that I don't fall too far behind.

Sorry I've been off the radar for so long--hopefully (maybe) once I am feeling better physically I won't feel as much stress running between the kids' school activities and family and work and house and "stuff." I think I'm just ready for a vacation! :) Wouldn't that be nice!?

Hope you get to feeling better. I know the stress a wedding quilt can cause. Good luck finishing it.
