The book is "Foolproof Curves Quilts with Bias Strips and Continuous Paper Piecing" by Barbara Barber. I checked this book out of the library some time ago and was really smitten by her "really sharp piecing" technique.

Since the wedding quilt is done, I am going to be able to start working in earnest on some of my own designs. One of them has (at least in my vision of it) the perfect opportunity to use her technique! I'd found this book at Edward Hamilton and had nearly ordered it, then got busy and didn't place the order, and of course when I went back, it was all sold out! But, lucky for me, I found it on Amazon.com for a shocking price of $2.39!! Yes--that is two dollars and thirty nine cents! Shipping was book rate, so for about $6 I now have this awesome book in my little library.
I also have a UFO quilt from a quilt shop Saturday Sampler class from a while ago--I love the main blocks but I want to make mine larger so of course I'm going to fiddle with the design a bit--this quilt, too, is crying out for Barbara Barber's techniques. If you haven't ever perused this book, you need to! It is a visual dessert cart--the examples are stunning. And I love that she has these little sections sprinkled in the book called "What Ifs." Very creative lady!

You're too cute!!
I can't wait to see this quilt! Like the book too, but I don't think I'm up for curves yet!
