Lady's Choice

Here is "Lady's Choice" on my bed! This is one of my favorite quilts of all times--just makes me smile! I love the colors, the scrappiness, the fabrics......it is definitely a "me" quilt. Here is a close up:
Off to sew the binding on the wedding quilt--I think we're going to have an appetizers and martinis "dinner" (appetizers are always more fun than real food) to officially give the quilt to the newlyweds as well as celebrate my Dad's and my brother's birthdays--probably weekend after next.
My Mom and I love martinis (she likes gin, I like vodka). I heard a great line from an old movie the other day: "Slip out of those wet clothes and into a dry martini." I LOVE that line! Wish I knew what movie it was from (my Mom can't remember!) Anyone who knows what movie that is from, please let me know! Everyone have a good weekend!

Your quilt is beautiful. Congratulations on finishing it! As far as the quote, try googling it - I found an article from the Quote Verifier which gives info on it. It is often credited to what Robert Benchley says to Ginger Rogers in the in The Major and the Minor, but it may have originally come from an earlier movie.

Thank you anonymous! My Mom was excited to hear the info from the Quote Verifier--she knew both the Benchley movie and the movie from 1937 mentioned there (I got the story lines from her)--I think this quote (which I'd never heard before but boy it seems like it's popular!) has just become my Mom's and my favorite! Thanks again!

Pretty quilt! It looks much like a "blended quilt" something that I am about to attempt.

Wow, That is awesome. I too love scrap quilts. I'm a newbie and read in another post how you would love to live in a haunted house. That would be way COOL.
