Oh what a night!

Last night was a truly awesome evening! Myself, my hubby, my brother, and his new wife took my parents to see "The Phantom of the Opera" at the Cadillac Palace Theater in Chicago last night. The theater was preceded by a wonderful dinner at 312 Chicago, a restaurant very nearby to the CPT. This evening out was our Christmas gift to my folks--it was so enjoyable!! This particular show is a favorite of my Mom's. It also has tremendous sentimental meaning for me: my dear hubby and I saw the play in London while we were on our honeymoon back in 2000! The play was simply great--the sets were terrific, the singing very very good--and we all really enjoyed ourselves. It will definitely be a great memory for all of us.

Thank you Blogger! My header is back--at least I can see it again (on IE)--a couple of kind readers left comments and told me they could see it on Firefox all along. I'm just glad it's fixed! It's a little present from Blogger! :)

I have done no quilting for two whole days here--I think I'm having some withdrawal symptoms. Unfortunately for me, the next couple days are going to be busy with last-minute holiday shopping and baking and cooking. Tonight we're taking the kids to see Santa (anyone want to bet that one of them will balk and not go sit on his lap?????). I'm just too pooped out from our fun night last night to even kid myself into thinking I'll make it down to my "studio" tonight after the kids are in bed. Guess I'll just have to quell my withdrawal symptoms tonight with a nice glass of wine in my warm bed with a good movie on. That should work!
