Oh my gosh! DH and I got tickets to "Jersey Boys" for his parents as a Christmas gift--we went last night and I CANNOT possibly express how enjoyable this performance was! The music, the production, the actors, the storyline.........just AMAZING! I liked it even better than "Phantom" and if this is the last musical I ever see, I'll have gone out on a high note!
We had seats that turned out to be quite good (I had my doubts when we were seated--row B center in the orchestra section--close to the stage......was almost thinking it was a little *too* close, but they turned out to be great!). I would recommend this to everyone regardless of your age--this wasn't my heyday era, but the music is really timeless and so compulsively toe-tapping that you can't help but get pulled into it. We kicked off the evening with my in-laws treating us to a wonderful dinner at "Italian Village" right near the theater. I had the Seafood Ravioli and it was very flavorful with a creamy tomato sauce plus scallops and shrimp. (One thing about me, if it's seafood, I'll eat it! In some past life I must have been an ocean dweller.) I am lucky to have great in-laws--they are really fun and just a blast to go out with!
So, I'm still sashaying around the house, cup of coffee in hand, humming all those songs. Time to find out what Frankie Valli and the Four Seasons songs I can download for my I-pod!

Oh, I'm glad to hear that you liked the show! I was thinking about getting 3 other girls that I work with to go and see the show when it hits Cincinnati in June. I have heard nothing but good things about it.
