Part 2: Garage sale bargains

Ask and ye shall receive! Here are a few more pics of my deals from Friday:

Mr. Chicken is decamping on top of the refrigerator with some new friends.

This bowl is such a pretty blue color--a big thank you to DH for suggesting I photograph it on my light table! (He's so smart!) The slightly darker area in the center is all tiny bubbles. (The dark "dot" is the original sticker that says "Venetian glass, Balboa, Hand Made, Italy.") The bowl is approx. 10" x 8".Here's the paperweight--lovely iridescent glass. And my last pic is one of my light table--a real bargain from a few years ago: Someone threw it away and I found it curbside--picked it up, lugged it into the minivan (it was raining pretty hard and this thing was just soaked), took it home, dried it out, jiggled the ballast a little, and viola! it started right up!Just try to ignore the stash of fabric and such stuffed underneath.

Hope everyone has a great Sunday! Today I'm taking DD to a "tea and princess dress up party" for one of her school friends. Then late this afternoon we're meeting my parents, my brother and his wife, and his wife's Mom who is up visiting from Florida for pizza and beer at the *best* pizza place ever--Vito and Nick's.

A little laundry out on the line, a little sewing, a quick pick-up of the house--it should be a nice day around here, too.
