Thread storage

Just wanted to share one of my favorite thread storage units. It's an old-time ice cube tray/drawer from a Frigidaire refrigerator! I found it at a church rummage sale on the 25 cent table. The little cube squares perfectly hold 4 spools of my Gutermann polys (easy to group similar colors) or one standard spool such as King Tut. Anyone else have any fun little antiques that they've re-tasked for quilty purposes? I'd love to hear about it!

That is very cool to look at. What a great idea! I love using things in another way than they were intended.

That's a great way to store them! I have a plastic draw set that I store mine in.

How clever! I love finding new uses for old things! I think that is why 'Goodwill hunting' is so much fun!

Lovely. My grandmother's Hoosier cabinet lives in my playroom and stores a LOT of my crafty stuff.
