I realized that while I was so busy with work my quilt "November Nova," which is currently travelling with the Original Sewing and Quilting Expo, was photographed and posted on the Fons and Porter Web site along with the other quilts that were chosen to be part of the "Done in One--Weekend, That Is" contest. There were some very nice quilts made for this contest. So, without further ado, if you'd like to see my design, you can click on http://www.fonsandporter.com/aspx/fonsandporter/clientpage.aspx?pageid=137
November Nova is about 72" square--I'm very happy with the way it turned out! This quilt got it's name because I made it with my son in mind, and his birthday is in November. And since he's a shining star in my life, the name just seemed right. I cut and pieced the entire top in about 17 hours. I'm toying with the idea of writing a pattern for this quilt design--I think it is kinda fun because you only cut one shape: the blocks are all made using just squares.
