The Jennifer Chiaverini book reading

What a nice event it was! She was very funny, witty, and fun to listen to! I found out that she herself is the actual designer of the quilts from the stories that are included in her two pattern books. She is one very creative person--she's even done several lines of fabric for Red Rooster Fabrics! She read from "The New Year's Quilt" and let us take an early peak at the cover of yet another book that will be out in spring 2008 called "The Winding Ways Quilt." She also answered audience questions and let us see a big photo of the quilt (right), which was designed for "The New Year's Quilt" storyline, made by Sylvia for Andrew's daughter. I purchased two autographed books, "The Elm Creek Quilts Sampler" and "The Elm Creek Quilts Album." I also think I'm going to get some of the books that I've already read as books on tape from the library so I can refresh my memory on the early stories before I read the newer ones. Should be some good winter reading!
