Back to normal (well, sorta.......)

Seems funny to just go back to normal stuff all day after how excited I was yesterday, but that is exactly what today was--just normal! I did a lot of laundry, worked on the wedding quilt, did some work on block 5 of the 1930's B.O.M., and although I could just smack myself upside the head, I *think* I am going to try to do the B.O.M. project called "Bouquets for a New Day" by Susan Garman that was just unveiled over at The Quilt Show (the Alex Anderson and Ricky Tims Web-based show). You can see the project on Sue's blog here. It is just so darn lovely that---although I need another project like I need a few gallstones---it is just too tempting!! I'm going to console myself with the pledge that I will try to use only stash on hand to make this project! I haven't fully made the leap yet--have only saved the first round of instructions on my computer.........but who am I kidding? It is just too pretty to not do it! Besides, I could use the practice doing invisible machine applique..........(hmmmmm, this is starting to smell a lot like rationalizing..........)

One last weird thing. I just thought this was so odd and funny when I saw it the other night that I had to take a picture. I was making baked potatoes to go with dinner and I found perfectly sized taters for everyone in the family--check out these little kid sized potatoes! Too cute.

Connie, Can you email me with your email address? I think I'm getting you and another Connie confused...she must think I'm really whacked right about now!!

Those potatoes are soooo cute. I thought I was the only one who picked up veggies like that! We've always refered to potatoes ad Jen size or Mike size and I did the same thing growing up.
