A very cold weekend

The weather this weekend was definitely the coldest of the season so far! In the suburbs here the wind chills were as low as -25 deg. F and air temps were single digits for high temps.

I picked up November Nova from the long arm quilter on Friday afternoon--it looks fantastic!! DH went on a weekend snowmobile trip, so being home alone with the kids kept me pretty busy and I didn't manage to squeeze out any quilting time either Friday or Sat. Today I was going to start on the binding when I noticed that one small line of quilting is missing from one of the motifs! Now I'm having to wait to bind it since I don't know if me binding the quilt would preclude the quilter from easily putting that line of stitching in. If this quilt wasn't going to be judged, I would do it myself. But since it is going to be judged, I'm going to bring it back to her, have her stitch that last line, and then bind it and get it sent in to the contest before the Feb. 1 due date. It's always something.

What a bummer! I hope she's able to work it back in asap once she's back.
